When a virus wipes out humanity, people tend to replace their dead friends and family with AI. Only our protagonist and his friend pledged that they would always be honest and true with one another and to themselves. And yet, when that last friend dies, the protagonist – burdened with loneliness –  starts to revive his social life with virtual persons which he can amend to his own needs. Eventually, a woman appears over who he doesn’t seem to have any control. They fall in love, but begin to dissociate as our protagonist is not able any more to differentiate real from virtual. Will he sacrifice their virtual friends for their love before it’s too late?
